Welcome to castle hotel Cop Choux
You are very welcome at Chateau de Cop-Choux, located on the border of the old Brittany and Kingdom of France / Anjou, between the cities of Nantes and Angers, near Loire and its vineyards.
We welcome you to a grand Castle whose main part was completed just before the French Revolution in 1785. The original structure with its 17 marble chimneys, panelling, marble floors and parquet floors is in perfect state of conservation. This is a magical place that envelopes you in serenity.

You can stay in the luxurious rooms B&B or in the gite.
You can have diner at the Chateau (table d‘hote) provided you‘ve made a reservation.
You will be enchanted by the beautiful surroundings, with its pool, tennis, an 18 Hectares park with trees and ponds that were classified historical sites in March 1943.

The Chateau de Cop-Choux could manage your families parties or weddings in the reception rooms.

Complex Margaux
From September 2007, work started for converting the outbuildings of the Castle into a party complex that can accommodate more than 400 people and 750 in cocktail from June 2008

Our park spread in an area of 18 hectares also has centennial trees. The ponds of COP-CHOUX were classified as historical site on 29 March 1943. Apart from our other activities, you can also have a great time in swimming pool and a tennis-court. For parties, we can increase the capacity up to 2000 persons by adding a „Barnum“ type structure on the big lawn in front of the Castle. You will be amazed and charmed by the tranquillity that reigns in this place. It has parking space for more than 230 vehicles.
The chateau was built throughout the 18th century. Up to the 20th century only the central part existed, the two towers were built at the beginning of the 20th century.

The two deep lakes bear witness to the past history of lime kilns. The chateau thanks his name to this. coupe la chaux: to cut lime.

The Maimberthes
According to the legend, the fairies returned visit to human to help them.
One evening, the villagers decided to drive out Maimberthes. To be avenged, the fairies launched, while fleeing, of enormous rocks which blocked the course of very close Donneau river.

Activities
Our clients can choose from one of the 10 spacious and high-end rooms. A party hall of approximately 500 m2 as well as salons of the castle (approximately 100m2) are available for any private or business event. The site boasts of an 18 Hectares park with 2 big ponds that was classified as historical site by the Departmental Architecture and Heritage Unit of Loire Atlantique on 29 March 1943. You can enjoy fishing, climbing, underwater diving as well as hiking. We also have a swimming-pool and a tennis-court.
